Thank You

Last Saturday’s Harvest Celebration was a big success, with lots of people joining us for a morning of food, music, and friendship.

THANK YOU to Constant Spring, Rachel’s Bread, and the Electric Brew for contributing delicious refreshments for all to enjoy. We are grateful for their friendship and support!  And thank you to the Hard Travelin’ Boys and Red Tail Ring, whose great music turned the market into a real party.

Thank you to the employees and management team at Genesis Products for their recent contribution to Goshen Farmer’s Market’s Share the Bounty program.

Genesis raised these funds at their annual company picnic by featuring a dollar-per-throw dunk tank, with managers volunteering as targets.  Employees and their families enjoyed an afternoon of laughter and good natured heckling, while contributing to a great cause.  Several managers added private donations to the proceeds from the dunk tank, then Genesis matched what employees had contributed.  Altogether they brought their total donation to nearly $1700! The money will be used to provide free baskets of fruits and vegetables to local low-income individuals and families.

Thank you to the Donald and Ruby Branson Foundation, for their recent gift of $2000 to Goshen Farmer’s Market’s “Share the Bounty” program.  Their generous contribution will subsidize many baskets of free fruits and vegetables for low income families in Elkhart County.

The Branson Foundation is a family foundation established in 2006, in Lone Pine, California, which makes grants to support environmental, educational, and social progress in America.

Our special thanks also go to Matt Branson, who requested this gift on the Market’s behalf.  We appreciate his support of the Farmer’s Market, and his willingness to help neighbors in need.
