Vendor Profile: Russ Hochstetler

Russ is one of Goshen Farmers Market artisan vendors. He sells his woodworking products about half-time in his retirement, spending Saturdays at the Market from May through December. When he’s taking time off, he’ll use it to restock his supply of cutting boards, trays, and other wooden pieces, so that he doesn’t run out in the months to come. 

Woodworking started as a hobby for Russ, but he decided to turn it into a business in his retirement. He’s very pleased with his reception from the public: “People tell me how they’ve enjoyed what they’ve bought, that they’re making a use of it, and I love that!” He’s heard that his products have made it all across the United States as gifts or as families move.
