Linda, who runs Ginger Hills Farm, often gets to be the Market’s DJ, with her well-positioned booth and portable speaker. She’s been selling her variety of plant-based products — including fruit leathers, body butters, and more — at the Market for over ten years! Rather than growing her own produce, she finds ‘seconds’ or ‘thirds’ quality items to prevent food waste — since she’s turning them into something else anyway, physical imperfections don’t make a difference to the quality of her product.
Linda shared that her favorite part of being at the market is “the customers — listening to their stories, who they are, what they’re after, being able to help them find things!” She’s also observed the “entrepreneurial spirit” that the Market brings out in younger visitors. “[The Kids Club] helps them learn the value of things!”
